Justine & Phil

It was an absolute joy getting to know Justine and Phil and having the opportunity to be their wedding photographer. They decided to have their big day in the Fall when the leaves were just starting to change colors. It was a beautiful day for a wedding, and I had a great time capturing all their wonderful moments! The Naperville area held a lot of special significance for Justine and Phil, and we spent a good part of the day there. We took some fun pictures at Hugo’s Frog Bar, got some gorgeous shots along the Naperville Riverwalk, and then proceeded to the ceremony at the beautiful Saints Peter and Paul Church. One fun fact about this couple is they had their first date at Hugo’s Frog Bar, so of course we had to stop there to take pictures! What better way to commemorate where it all started than to take pictures there on your wedding day! The day’s romance really kicked off along the Riverwalk where Justine and Phil had their first look. Nothing can compare to the looks on the faces of a bride and groom when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day! It is always such a special moment that I love capturing. After the first look, we moved up to the covered bridge where I was able to get some stunning shots of Justine, Phil, and their families!

Black, White & Fuchsia

Justine and Phil had their wedding ceremony at Saints Peter and Paul Church in downtown Naperville. It was a beautiful ceremony that certainly had its touching moments! Afterwards, we left Downtown Naperville and headed off to the Bolingbrook Golf Course. This was such an elegant reception, which featured décor by Yanni Design Studio. They incorporated the wedding colors of black, white and fuchsia in the décor to make for a striking reception hall. As a side note, I think they really made a statement with the black bridesmaids dresses and fuchsia flower bouquets! Even the groomsmen had fuchsia boutonnieres to match. It made for such a fun and unique look, and all of that was tied in with the reception hall. As with all weddings, the night eventually had to come to an end. However, I can safely say this night had all three elements of the perfect wedding reception: touching speeches, great food, and plenty of dancing! It was certainly a night to remember. Many thanks to Justine and Phil for having me photograph their special day! I loved having the opportunity to be with such a great group of people and helping capture all the day’s special moments. If you are currently looking for a Naperville wedding photographer, please feel free to email me via the contact page or call me directly at (630) 995-9814. I would love to hear about your plans for your big day!

Anyone who can hold a camera can take a photograph at a wedding, but it takes artistic talent, vision, and trained technical expertise to be able to call yourself a “wedding photographer.” Been to a wedding reception lately? If you have, you’ve probably noticed that things are done a little differently these days. The musical styles have changed, the dances have changed, the bridal party traditions have changed, and the photography has most definitely changed.
